A Positive Move For Business

New logo, to go with new name and new location.
KELLY & ASSOCIATES, AKA Kelly, is a company that provides benefits and payroll services, utilized through most companies' Human Resources Departments, to businesses in a way that saves their clients money and promotes efficiency. They are up to speed on the latest technologies, tools, and techniques and they utilize a model of service which has come to be known as The Kelly Way.

Just this summer the company consolidated its operations onto one site, the old Fila USA Inc building, located in Sparks, MD. The advantage of this move is that this new headquarters location places all of the Maryland staff in one building. Before the move, these 450 employees had been divided among three different buildings, located along International Circle in Hunt Valley. So, by groups of 100 each week, the move took place in June.

At the same time, one change brought about another. The parent company, which was known as Kelly Integral Solutions, became simply Kelly. In a way, the name change symbolized what the move was about - consolidating, simplifying, becoming more cohesive and efficient.

Kelly & Associates was formed back in 1976, providing affordable health care benefits and other human resource solutions, at a time when many small businesses were having difficulty handling the increasing health care benefits costs. The company developed unique solutions, utilizing the negotiating power of trade and professional associations. From that point onward, the company has grown.

Company CEO Francis X. Kelly III explains the decision to move into the first building in Hunt Valley, "When we moved into 301 International Circle in 1998, we thought for sure this was it - it had capacity for 130 people." At the time, the company had employed 60 people. But, as has been seen, the company has grown much larger.

Essentially, this move will help Kelly lower expenses by no longer being subject to rent increases. The new building has been renovated and upgraded to provide state-of-the-art communications systems and better security technology. That's a definite win for the companies and employees they serve, too.
