Inner Creativity Inspires Art

A new studio for Claire Lucas and The Art of Ceremony taking shape.
From an artist in the UK, creative juices flow. Her name is Claire Lucas and she has been living and working in West Cornwall as an artist, teacher, and workshop facilitator for more than 25 years. She believes that everyone can be creative. You don't have to have any special talent or training, just a spirit of playfulness and heart-felt ways to express what's within.

She celebrates this creativity within through something called THE ART OF CEREMONY. This evolved from celebration, the healing and potential for growth provided through creativity. In a world that moves so fast and in which people are so busy trying to keep up, it's that pause to get in touch with oneself, connect with that heart and soul inside, to try to find the meaning and sense in the life one is leading. By doing so, one also gets in touch with that creative and expressive side of self.

The Art Of Ceremony has five different types of programs. The Art of Finding Your Own Path provides one-to-one personal creative life coaching. Art of Change provides an ongoing group experience that provides both support and empowerment, along with weekend workshops, for women in their menopausal years. Making Art Sacred: Making Sacred Art is provided in monthly evening group sessions and in weekly classes for those who want to make deeper contact with their deeper, creative selves, and express that in their art or craft projects that have a sacred quality. Nurturing the Nurturer are separately scheduled workshops that provide a means for caregivers to replenish and nurture their souls. Awakening - Learning to Shine presents weekend workshops and continuing courses that support the "Virtues Project".

A studio art class.
In addition, Ms. Lucas also offers creative retreats that can be booked through The Art of Ceremony website. Retreats offer creative activities that can put the individual in touch with his/her creative self and provides a direction for the flow of creativity. There is also ceremony, which can include a choice of activities, depending on the participant's proclivities. Although there are many available activities, a participant chooses his/her extent of participation and  types of restful interludes. If you don't come from the Cornwall area, there is a selection of recommended accommodations.
