Personal Marketing Attention

IMRE's CreatorsLAB.
No matter what type of work you do, what type of life you live, unless you decided to live under a rock or several times removed from civilization, you have been exposed to advertising. Just about any entity that wants to become known to more than just a few people uses it in some fashion. Why, even an organization's Facebook or Twitter page is a type of advertising.

Agencies which engage in the many forms of advertising, or marketing, abound in many different parts of the country and the world. The Baltimore area has its advertising and marketing agencies, among them one agency, IMRE, located in the northeast portion of the city. With its footprint in the many venues for advertising, this agency has definitely kept up with the times. Remember when I mentioned two prominent social media platforms as presenting a form of advertising for those who want to spread the word about themselves and their work? IMRE has experience in using these platforms for that purpose.

One of the prime occasions for advertising is during March Madness, the national college basketball series, in which the final two teams left undefeated after the playing brackets, face off against each other. The series is known throughout the country and college students root for their favorites, especially when it involves their college's team. IMRE was involved with Werner, a company that makes climbing equipment, aka ladders. in helping them to make a televisions commercial for the series.

Because March Madness occurs at the start of the spring, Werner thought this would be a great time to advertise, since it is also a prime season for customers to buy outdoor equipment, such as ladders. IMRE kept Werner closely involved in the process of creating the commercial. Mark Eber, President and Partner, said, "Werner is a tremendous addition to our client roster. When you think of ladders, you immediately think of Werner. This provided our agency with a great opportunity to show our expertise in the national sports space, and produce a commercial that basketball fans will love, all while helping our new partner sell more products."

Athlete Jordan Kilganon, who is also an internet sensation, was chosen to be the sponsored athlete and came through with some astounding leaps utilizing the ladders, for some great dunking action. IMRE edited the footage into a 30-second commercial that is now being aired on national television.

As for Werner's satisfaction with the agency's effort, Director of Interactive Marketing, Stacy Gardella, remarked, "We were thrilled by IMRE's work, and it's clear they can develop exciting creativ[ity] for sports marketing and consumer products. From the first day they focused to understand our business and goals. This commercial spoke to both sports fans and ladder consumers alike, and we couldn't be more pleased to have partnered with IMRE on this." And don't forget to look for the commercial when you watch the games. You can say you saw it here, first.
