Annual Bazaar For Charity

Festive announcement for annual holiday bazaar.

Located down in Annapolis Junction, PRAXIS ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES INC. utilizes the engineering skills of its employees to provide software and systems technologies to solve the complex problems of its business clients. The company works closely with its business clients to meet their critical mission objectives.

But it's not always all business. Praxis employees have also contributed to social causes. Back in December, the company organized its annual bazaar, called NBP's Annual Holiday Bazaar, so titled for the building that this company occupies, for December 3. This bazaar brought the convenience of holiday shopping right to the work site for the benefit of its employees.

Some of the types of items available included scarves, blankets, jewelry, gourmet jams, refurbished furniture, home decor, and more. There were bargains to be had, all offered at convenient workday hours. There were also items to be raffled, at the price of five dollars to purchase each raffle ticket.

The atmosphere was that of a party. Praxis had a booth with a Prize Wheel, where participants could spin to win. Job applicants were encouraged to join the fun and find out what it was like to work for the company. An informal atmosphere like this certainly can present a company in a most favorable way.

However, the bazaar wasn't held to benefit Praxis. This year the company chose TRAVIS MANION FOUNDATION to receive the proceeds from the bazaar. Located in Doylestown, PA, this foundation is named in honor of Travis Manion, who was a Naval Academy graduate and Marine. He served honorably during two tours in Iraq and lost his life when his unit was ambushed. The foundation carries on his legacy by assisting veterans and families, and inspiring young people to develop their character and serve their communities.
