There's a company, located in Hanover, MD, that is involved in cybersecurity, prevention of cyberterrorism, in short, is a key player in protecting the US, without using weapons. Their field involves using information systems and they also train workers in various areas of cybersecurity in the Parrot Labs arm of the company. Basically, this organization functions as support to numerous local law enforcement and key federal agencies.

KEYW designs, builds, and integrates hyperspectral, multispectral, and high-resolution digital integration systems that can be used in light aircraft, helicopters, and drone aircraft.

Since 2004, KEYW's Flight Landata Division has been active in military aircraft operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and in Africa. They even provided Buckeye Sensor suites on Blackhawk UH-60 helicopters, in addition to their own fleet. Currently, KEYW is conducting flight operations with six King Air 100 aircraft. That includes operational planning, logistics, aircraft maintenance, pilots, and sensor operators. Their operation is entirely scalable, to the point that they customize the operations to fit each customer's needs.

KEYW's employees can perform sensor maintenance in the field. Any depot-level repairs are conducted at the North Andover facility, including that needed for defective units returned from service. This company can also develop and design its own prototypes with its CAD/CAM software tools and also has access to specialized lab facilities. They also maintain their own modified test aircraft, so they can easily develop their prototypes and take them quickly through flight testing.
